Anditi does not only work with LiDAR data. We are experienced in using a vast range of geospatial and remote sensing data sources, including Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). SAR sensors emit energy in the microwave region of the electromagnetic spectrum and record the amplitude and phase of backscattered energy. SAR data has many advantages, it can penetrate through cloud cover and is sensitive to the surface structure and the dielectric properties of targets.

In a recent project, Andti used Interferometric SAR (InSAR) to monitor topographic change. This involved creating coherence maps where the radar phase between pairs of Sentinel-1 images taken at the same location and angle but at different times are compared. Coherence refers to the similarity of phase between the two images. A difference in phase between the two images leads to low coherence and may be caused by factors such as ground deformation, agricultural activity, and volumetric scattering of vegetation.
