Are you a GIS specialist, with experience managing teams? We are looking for a motivated and qualified GIS Project Officer to join our team in Newcastle, NSW.
The Role:
You will be working with our Consulting Team to coordinate projects and deliver GIS products. You will also be working closely with the analytics team providing feedback on Anditi's custom-built LiDAR processing and analytics platform to help guide the future of Anditi's development.Anditi's proprietary software provides an exciting opportunity for enabling the development of cutting-edge LiDAR and spatial data analytic tools.
In joining Anditi, you will be part of a company shaping the use of LiDAR, remote sensing and GIS across a breadth of industries. On a day to day basis, the role involves tasks such as:Overseeing the production of GIS products using Anditi’s processing engine as well as GIS software such as QGIS Supervising casual staff who are performing manual data capture tasks such as digitisingUndertaking quality controlRaster and vector dataset analysisDeveloping and using simple Python scripts for geospatial analysis and QA
Who are we looking for?

Ideally you will have the following skillset: Bachelor-level degree in GIS/Remote Sensing or a related course. 1-2 years industry experience Competent in the use of GIS software including QGIS or ArcGISExposure to LiDAR and/or other 3D dataSome exposure to or willingness to learn scripting skills in a language such as Python Ability to manage complex projects and deliver to a deadlineSelf-motivated with demonstrated problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and team skillsGood time management, with the ability to multi-task and deal with competing prioritiesA willingness to undertake occasional fieldwork
