From the Ballot Box to the Beach

Anditi’s Managing Director, Peter Jamieson, never hesitated in jumping on board when asked if Anditi was interested in being included in a crowdfunding initiative for the women’s professional surfing event at Surfest 2017.

When our ticket was drawn from the ballot box at the naming rights luncheon in November 2016, the team went into a whirlwind of excitement for how we could get behind this great event and demonstrate our capabilities in a way that would engage the community at Surfest and around the world.

We settled on a project that resonates best with our core capabilities; creating a spatial dataset so beautifully accurate and precise, that it truly changes the way you see the world.

We worked closely with data capture experts MNG to produce a high resolution, entirely accurate, 3D dataset of the Newcastle coastline. The result was magical; combining aerial imagery with LiDAR point cloud data so precisely, it was literally picture perfect.

With production help from Simmer Studios, Anditi transformed the data into dynamic spatial visualisations that were webcast to over 160 countries throughout the Anditi Women’s Pro event.

Anditi is honoured to have won the women’s pro naming rights at Surfest 2017 and would again like to thank all the team at Surfest for their support in making the event such a success.

The response to our technology has been fantastic, with more and more people realising that the applications for precise 3D spatial visualisations and analytics at scale are endless!
